Which is better economics or accounting for leaving cert? Bubbles1D

I wanted to do economics but my business teacher told me she really wants me in her accounting class and now I'm really starting to reconsider my options. I'm doing English, Irish, French, honours maths, history, business and economics. Will that be too much on my plate?

Economics is a lot easier than accounting, so you should really stick to what's easiest because at the end of the day its about the points not so much the subjects :)

Accounting is a really short syllabus and basically every question is the same so in regard to time it's a lot less. It's just practicing question after question I only do it outside school 1 hour a week and I'm nearly finished the course after 1 year

If you loved book-keeping in the JC accountancy is a no brainer. You don't get a good taste of Economics in the Junior Cert. so be careful about choosing it naively. However it is a very interesting subject, with a pretty short curriculum compared to most other Leaving Cert. Subjects. Talk to your teacher, if you think you might like it, I can guarantee you, you will.... and by the way, it is NOT all about the points, enjoy every one of your subjects as much as you can.
