In history does anyone know what a vassal is? Please help
A vassal was a person who was given a fief (a grant of land)
Hi Georgie! A vassal is a follower of a medieval king. Some of them were given titles such as earl or count. Others were bishops or abbots. Vassals receive land from the king in a special public ceremony, where they would promise to be loyal to the king and to supply soldiers to his army. In return, the king would protect the vassal using his army.
