Chas ceolchoirm do thubaiste - Concert turned to disaster

Bhí an ceolchoirm críochnaithe agus bhí mé ag fanacht don bhus. Is cuimhin liom an lá sin an-mhaith. Oíche fuar dorcha i lár mí Meán Fómhair a bhí ann. Fuair mo chara Scott ticéidí do cheolchoirm a bhí ar siúl san 02. Bhí The Script ag seinm ann. Chuamar go Baile Átha Cliath ar an traein an maidin sin. Bhí an áit dubh le daoine. Bhí mé ag tnúth go mór leis an gceolchoirm. Bhí atmaisféar leictreach ag an gceolchoirm. Chonaic mé slua idir óg agus aosta ann. Bhíomar ag canadh agus ag screadaíl go hard. Bhí an-craic agann ag an gceolchoirm. Ach, bhí casadh sa scéal.

Bhí sé in uair mhairbh na hoíche. Bhíomar ag fanacht ar an mbus. Bhí daoine ag canadh agus ag gáire. Bhí cúpla duine ar meisce freisin. Tamaill ina dhiadh sin, tháinig an bus. Shiúileamar isteach sa bhus agus gan a thuilleadh moille bhíomar ar an mbóthar go dtí an stáisiúin traenach. Ní raibh an trácht go dona. Cúpla nóiméad níos déanaí, thangamar go cúinne dáinséarch. Thiomáin an bus timpeall an cúinne go curamach. Gan choinne, chonaic mé carr ag teacht inár dtreo. Ba léir go raibh sé ag tiomáint i bhfad ró-thapaidh. Bhrúigh an tiománaí na coscáin agus chas sé an roth stiúrtha. Bhuail an carr an bus. Phléasc roth tosaigh an bus agus chuala mé torann uafásach. Cheap mé go raibh mé maith. Spraoithiománaithe a bhí iontu.

Ansin, chuala mé duine ag screadaíl. Bhí mo chara Scott gan aithne gan urlabhra. Níos measa arís, chonaic mé deatach dubh ag teacht amach as an inneall. Ní raibh a fhios agam cad ba cheart a dhéanamh. Bhí rí rá agus ruaille buaille ann. Rug buachaill amháin greim docht daingin ar an gcamán agus bhris sé an fhuinneog. Ansin, dhreap na daoine as an mbus. Nuair a bhí mé taobh amuigh den bhus chonaic mé a lán daoine ann. Chuala mé bonnán na nGardaí an otharcharr agus an Briogáid Dóiteáin ag teacht. Mhúch siad an tine agus chuir siad na daoine gortaithe ar an sínteáin. Chuir na Gardaí na spraoithiománaithe isteach sa charr. Ní bhfuair mé néal codlata an oíche sin!

Na fadhbanna a bhíonn ag daoine óga - The problems of young people

Bhuail cúpla smaoineamh mé nuair a léigh mé an teideal seo. Deirtear sa teideal go mbíonn fadhbanna ag daoine óga, go cuirtear a lán brú ar dhéagóirí. Is duine óg mé agus tuigim an teideal. Beidh cúpla fadhb á bplé agam san aiste seo, fadhbanna sa bhaile agus sa cheantar, fadhbanna ar scoil agus an brú a bhíonn ar dhéagóirí. Ar an gcéad dul síos is minic a bhíonn fadhbanna againn sa bhaile. Uaireanta ní thuigeann na daoine fásta, na tuismitheoirí, daoine óga. Bíonn a lán troideanna is argóintí againn le tuismitheoirí sa bhaile. Ní bhíonn cead againn dul amach nuair a bhíonn fonn orainn. Caithfimid síob a fháil ónár dtuismitheoirí chun dul aon áit. Bíonn sé níos deacra fós ar na daoine óga sin a chónaíonn faoin tuath.

Ní bhíonn cead againn féachaint ar an teilifís go déanach san oíche. Cloisimid an dá fhocal sin, níl cead, go rómhinic. Sin nó 'tá tú ró-óg'. Bhuel, i mo thuairimse, níl sé sin féaráilte. I mo thuairim níl sé sláintiúil go mbíonn daoine óga faoi ghlas ina dtithe ag staidéar ó dhubh go dubh. An aon ionadh é go mbíonn déagóirí ag insint bréag agus ag éalú amach an fhuinneog i ngan fhios dá dtuismitheoirí! Feictear dom gcaithfidh ár dtuismitheoirí níos mó saoirse a thabhairt dúinn. Caithfimid bheith in ann labhairt go hoscailte lenár dtuismitheoirí chun go mbeidh an saol níos éasca ar gach duine.

Measaim freisin go mbíonn fadhbanna ag daoine óga nuair a bhíonn cónaí orthu in áit easnamhach - ceantar gan áiseanna. Nuair a bhíonn easpa áiseanna i gceantar ciallaíonn sé go leanfaidh fadhbanna sóisialta eile. Nuair a bhíonn leadrán ar dhaoine óga uaireanta téann cuid acu ag caitheamh toitíní, ag ól alcóil nó níos measa ag caitheamh drugaí. Bíonn a lán brú ar dhaoine óga chun tosú ag ól agus iad an-óg. Na cairde a chuireann an brú sin orthu. Cuireann sé déistin orm go bhfuil bailte ann gan aon chlub óige nó áiseanna spóirt. Ciathfidh an rialtas rud a dhéanamh faoi seo. Ar an dara dul síos bímid cráite ag na ceithre s-anna -scoil, staidéar, scrúduithe agus ar ndóigh strus. Nach ndeirtear sa seanfhocal gur fearr an tsláinte ná na táinte? Cuirtear an iomarca brú orainn ar scoil. In ainm Dé bíonn seacht n-ábhar déag idir lámha againn sa chéad bhliain ar scoil agus níos mó ná deich n-ábhar sa Teastas Sóisearach tar éis na tríú bliana.

Éirímid bréan den staidéar agus de na léachtaí ónar dtuismitheoirí. Níl mé pioc sásta go gcuirtear an brú sin orainn. Níl sé sláintiúil bheith istigh ag staidéar an t-am ar fad. Cén fáth go mbíonn na scrúduithe ar lá amháin? Tá sé áiféiseach agus craiceáilte. Creidim go láidir go mbeadh measúnú leanúnach i bhfad Éireann níos fearr. Mar shampla dhéanfadh na daltaí scrúduithe go minic i rith na bliana in áit gach scrúú a dhéanamh in aon mhí amháin, mí an Mheithimh. Mar gheall air sin bheadh trí mhí saor againn agus deis againn dul go coláiste Fraincise nó go dtí an Ghaeltacht! Chomh maith leis sin cuireann na meáin chumarsáide an iomarca brú ar dhaoine óga. Gan dabht tá tionchar ag na meáin ar dhéagóirí, go háirithe an teilifís. Nuair a fheiceann daoine óga na réalta teilifíse / ceol foirfe - gan spota ar bith orthu agus iad fíor-thanaí - ba mhaith leo aithris a dhéanamh orthu. Leanann fadhbanna mar easpa féinmhuiníne agus neamhoird itheacháin, anorexia nervosa agus bulimia, an brú sin. Is bocht an scéal é. Feiceann na daoine óga an t-uafás foréigin freisin. Níl sé sin go maith do mheon na ndaoine óga. Cinnte, cuireann an fhógraíocht an iomarca brú ar dhaoine óga freisin. Mothaíonn siad go gcaithfidh siad éadaí a bhfuil lipéid dearthóra orthu nó an cluiche ríomhaire is déanaí a cheannach. Sílim go n-imíonn sé ó smacht ar fad um Nollaig.

Tá cúlú eacnamaíochta sa domhan anois. Níl pingin rua ag aon duine. Ní bheidh daoine óga in ann poist samhraidh a fháil a thuilleadh. Táim cinnte go bhfuil sé cruthaithe agam go bhfuil a lán fadhbanna ag daoine óga. Sin é an saol, is dócha. Mar fhocal scoir, creidim go gcaithfidh daoine óga labhairt lena dtuismitheoirí agus lena múinteoirí mar gheall ar na fadhbanna atá acu. De réir an seanfhocail, ní neart go cur le chéile.

D’éirigh mé as an leaba ar maidin chiúin a bhí ann. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí scoile orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a dhéanamh. D’ith mé aran donn agus calóga arbair. Dhúisigh mo dheartháir i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus bhí mé ar mo bhealach chun na scoile.

Ní ghnáth lá a bhí ann. Bhí na ranganna fada. Áfach, rud amháin suimiúil a tharla ná ghlac mé páirt i ndráma beag. Bhí na haisteoirí eile an-cumasach i mo thuairim. Bhí ionadh an domhain orm. Bhí mo chroí i mo bhéal ar an stáitse. Thug an lucht féachana bualadh bos dúinn. Ba é an lá a barr riamh. Tar éis sin a tharla, bhí scoile thar. Thaistil mé le mo rothar abhaile.

Go tobann, baineadh geit asam. D’éist mé go gear mar chuala mé gunnaí a scaoil. Chonaic mé na robálaithe ag an mbainc. Bhí mé ag crith le heagla. Ghlaoigh bean an nGardaí ansin. Bhí imníoch orm chuici. Robáil na robálaithe a lán airgid as an mbainc. Luigh mé ansin gan focal asam. Rud eile a rinne na robálaithe a bhí go bhagair siad ar na daoine an mbainc taobh amuigh. Ní raibh gíog ná míog as éinne. Ní raibh fonn orm a throid. Shocraigh mé ansin a bhogadh. Chonaic na robálaithe mé ag dul imithe. Lig mé scread asam. Ba bheag nár thit an t-anam asam leis an scanradh. Lean siad mé timpeall na áite.

Chonaic na Gardaí na robálaithe. Bhí teannas os cionn an mheáin. Thiomáin na Gardaí ar luas lasrach agus rug siad na robálaithe ansin. Tugadh siad síob chun na cúirte dóibh. Ní raibh an breitheamh sásta agus ní raibh ceachtar an cosite cúirte. Bhí an banc folamh. Mhothaigh gach duine brón don bainc. Shocraíomar ar fad a tabhairt airgid don bainc. Tugadh na robálaithe síob chun na príosúin dóbh ansin buíochas le Dia. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. Bhí an baile sábháilte arís. Cuimhneoidh mé an robáil sin go lá mo bháis.

      Dear Eoin,

I hope that you are in the best of health. I haven't heard from you in a while. Thank you for your letter. I had the intention to write to you. I didn't have time to write until now. I was very busy. Wait 'til you hear my story.

I remember that day because it was yesterday. I was on my way to school last week. The sun was splitting the stones. I was cycling as fast as the wind. Suddenly, a surprised took place. A car hit me. He knocked me down. I was lying on the ground bleeding badly. The ambulance came without delay. I was in horrible pain. I am in the hospital now. The nurses are very friendly. They put a big bandage on me. I will be back at school next week.

Well I have no more news. Write a letter to me soon. Don't forget. Don't delay. I will be looking forward to your letter. I will see you shortly. Take care of yourself. Goodbye for now.

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Bhí rith an ráis liom an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D’éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí scoile orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a dhéanamh. D’ith mé arán donn agus calóga arbhair. Dhúisigh mo dheartháir i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus bhí mé ar mo bhealach chun na scoile.

Sroich mé ar scoil. Bhí an-craic agam le mo chairde. Bhí na muinteoirí an-dian áfach agus bhí mé beagnach i dtriobláid. Bhí ionadh an domhain orm ar na rudaí a tharla níos déanaí. Bhí comórtas ar siúl sa halla scoile. Bhí neart duiseanna le buaite. Bhí mo chroí i mo bhéal. Bhí mé ar bharr an domhain le háthas mar bhuaigh mé an chéad duis. Bhuaigh mé dhá ticéid don cheolchoirm an The Script. Is fearr liom an The Script agus tá grá agam dóibh. Bhí an ceolchoirm ar siúl an oíche a leanas.

Chuaigh mé abhaile i ndiaidh na scoile. Bhí mo chroí ag preabadh i mo chliabh mar bhí an-áthas orm. Thug mo mháthair roinnt airgid dom mar theastaigh uaim cuimhneacháin a cheannach. Bhí mé go fírinneach gan focal. Bhí mé ar mo bhealach go dtí an cheolchoirm ansin. Thug m’athair síob dom. Nuair a sroich mé ag an gceolchoirm, bhí go leor daoine taobh amuigh an 3 airéine.

Áfach, sroich mé in am an The Script a fheiceáil. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. D’éist mé go gear ag seinm dóibh. Sheinn siad go hiontach. Chan mé in éineacht libh. Bhí gach duine ag canadh in ard a gcinn agus a ngutha. Ba é an oíche a barr riamh. Ní raibh mé ag iarraidh a deireadh é. Cuimhneoidh mé an lá sin go deo. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad an eachtra sin.

Bhí mé ag dul go dtí na sléibhte ar thuas le mo rang. Bhí sceitimíní orm. Ach is maith an scéalaí an aimsir cad a tharlóidh sa scéal seo. Thug mé roinnt airgid liom.

Nuair a sroicheamar ag na sléibhte, bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. D'fhéachamar ag an amharc deas ar bharr na sléibhte. Go tobann, bhuail tubaiste orm. I bpreabadh na súl, shleamhnaigh mé agus ghortaigh mé mo ghlúin. Bhí sé ag cur fola agus lig mé scread asam. Ní chreidfainn cad a tharla. Chuir mo mhúinteoir fios ar an t-otharcharr.

Tháinig an otharcharr go luath. Cuireadh mé ar shínteán. Tógadh mé go dtí an Roinn Timpiste agus Éigeandála ag an am céanna bhí mé gan aithne gan urlabhra i bpian uafásach. Rinne an dochtúir scrúdú orm. Thug sé bindealán dom. Nuair a chuala mo thuismitheoirí céard a tharla, tháinig siad a fheiceáil dom. D'inis mé an scéal dóibh. Bhí ionadh an domhain orthu. Dúirt an dochtúir gur fhág mé an t-ospidéal dhá lá níos déanaí. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad ar an lá sin go deo.

I remember that day well. My luck was in that day. It was a dark morning. I didn't know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I put my school clothes on. I went to the kitchen to make my breakfast. I ate brown bread and cornflakes. My brother finally woke up then. Without delay, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I was on my way to school.

I was going on a trip to the mountains. I was excited. But only time will tell what happens in this story. I brought some money with me.

When we arrived at the mountains, the sun was splitting the stones. I let out a sigh of happiness. We looked at the nice view at the top of the mountains. Suddenly, disaster struck. In the blink of an eye, I slipped and I hurt my knee. It was bleeding and I screamed in agony. I couldn't believe what happened. My teacher called an ambulance.

The ambulance came soon. I was put on a stretcher. I was taken to the A&E unit whilst I was unconscious in splitting pain. The doctor examined me. He gave me a bandage. When my parents heard what happened, they rushed over to see me. I told them the story. They were very shocked. The doctor said that I would be out of hospital two days later. I will never forget that day.

      Easy enough?

      25 Feabhra 2016

      A Eoin,

Tá súil agam go bhfuil tú i mbarr na sláinte. Is fada an lá ó chuala mé uait. Go raibh maith agat as ucht do litir. Bhí sé ar intinn agam scríobh chugat. Ní raibh am agam scríobh go dtí seo. Bhí mé an-ghnóthach. Fan go gcloise tú mo scéal.

D'fhreastail mé ar choláiste samhradh sa Ghaeltacht i gcontae Maigh Eo. Bhuail mé le cara nua. Saoirse is ainm di. Bhí an-craic againn. Bhí ranganna againn gach maidin. Bhí cluiche againn gach tráthnóna. D'imríomar cluiche peile agus iománaíocht. Bhí linn snámha acu agus mar sin fuaireamar seans snámh gach lá. Is aoibhinn liom ag snámh. Bhí bean an tí go deas agus cneasta. Bhí a cócaireacht go blásta. D'ullmhaigh sí béalta dúinn gach lá. Nuair a tháinig mé abhaile, chleachtaigh mé ag labhairt Gaeilge gach lá. Tá feabhas ag teacht ar mo chuid Ghaeilge. Beidh mé ar áis sa Ghaeltacht an samhradh seo chugainn mar tá grá agam don áit.

Bhuel níl aon nuacht eile agam. Scríobh litir chugam go luath. Ná déan dearmad. Ná déan moill. Beidh mé ag tnúth le litir uait roimh i bhfad. Feicfidh mé tú roimh i bhfad. Tabhair aire duit féin. Slán go fóill.

I will write one for you Mattmoo. Plus I'll be posting that scéal tomorrow Nw.danville and diyalsjdjldam. He didn't correct it today because he decided to let us have a day off normal class. Instead, we got to use the computers and do an Irish quiz against each other (all of my class). I hope you understand why I can't post it tonight?

Here's the scéal Nw.danville and diyalsjdjldam

"Ó bun go bharr" - From top to bottom

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D'éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Bhí mé ag tnúth le dul ag siopadóireacht le mo chara, Eoin. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D'ith mé arán donn agus pancóga. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus thóg mé an bhus go dtí an t-ionad siopadóireachta.

Nuair a bhí mé san ionad siopadóireacht, chuaigh mé isteach sa Lifestyle Sports. Bhuail mé le mo chara Eoin ann. Thosaigh Eoin agus mé féin ag cur roinnt éadaí éagsúla orainn. Bheartaigh mé an éadaí a cheannach ina dhiaidh tamaill. Cheannaigh mé an éadaí mar bhí mé ag iarraidh roinnt cinn nua. Áfach, nuair a cheap mé go raibh gach rud foirfe, baineadh geit asam.

D'éist mé go gear agus chuala mé gunnaí a scaoileadh. Chuaigh mé as an siopa cad a tharla a fheiceáil. Bhí sé robáil. Bhagair na robálaithe an siopadóir. Theastaigh uathu an t-airgead go raibh sa clár an siopa. Ní raibh gíog ná míog as éinne. Thosaigh na robálaithe ag bagairt gach duine go luath. Sheas gach duine in eagla. Nuair a tháinig siad dom, bhí mé ag crith le heagla agus chuaigh mé ar mo sheachaint ansin. Lean siad mé timpeall na háite. Ghlaoigh duine éigin ar na Gardaí dom. Bhí m'aghaidh chomh dearg le tráta mar lig mé scread asam.

Sroich na Gardaí go luath. Lig mé osna faoiseamh asam. Tugadh na robálaithe go cúirt. Ní raibh an breitheamh sásta agus ní raibh ceachtar an coiste cuirte. Bhí na robálaithe go soiléir ciontach. Tugadh na robálaithe go priosúin. Bhí an baile sábháilte arís. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad an lá sin. Chuaigh na rudaí ó bun go bharr!

      Here's the English translation diyalsjdjldam

I remember that day well. It was a dark morning. I didn't know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I was looking forward to shopping with my friend, Eoin. I went to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast. I ate brown bread and pancakes. Without delay, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I took the bus to the shopping centre.

When I was in the shopping centre, I went into Lifestyle Sports. I met my friend Eoin here. Me and Eoin started trying some different clothes on. I decided to buy the clothes after a while. I bought the clothes because I wanted some new ones. However, when I thought that everything was perfect, I got a fright.

I listened carefully and I heard guns fire. I went out of the shop to see what had happened. It was a robbery. The robbers threatened the shopkeeper. They wanted the money that the shop had. There wasn't a sound out of anyone. The robbers started threatening the people soon. Everybody stood in fear. When they came for me, I was shaking with fear and I went on the run then. They followed me around the place. Somebody called the Gardaí for me. My face was as red as a tomato because I let a roar out of me.

The Gardaí arrived soon. I was relieved. The robbers were brought to court. The judge wasn't happy and neither was the jury. The robbers were clearly guilty. The robbers were taken to prison. The town was safe again. I will never forget that day. The things went from top to bottom!

Cuimhním go maith ar an Oíche Shamhna sin. Bhí rith an ráis liom an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D’éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí scoile orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D’ith mé arán donn agus pancóga. Dhúisigh mo dheartháir i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus bhí mé ar mo bhealach chun na scoile.

Bhí an-craic agam ar scoil. Lá éadaí a bhí ann. Chaith mé éadaí creatlach taibhsiúil. Thaitin na sosanna le mo chairde agus mé féin. Bhí an spraoi ag tosú ach. Bhí mé ag dul go cóisir i ndiaidh na scoile. Bhí mé ag tnúth le cóisir.

Nuair a bhí an scoil críochnaithe, chuaigh mé abhaile. Bhí mé ag réitheach don chóisir.

Bhí mé ag an gcóisir go luath. Bhí gach mo chairde ann. Bhí gach duine ag baint taitnimh as an gcóisir. Bhí atmaisféar iontach ann. Bhí mé as anáil tar éis a bheith ag damhsa le mo chailín. Ní raibh orm bob nó bia a imirt mar bhí milseáin ag an gcóisir ann.

Thug mé mo chairde as an dteach. Bhí ionadh an domhain orthu nuair a bhaineadh geit astu. Chuir mo Dhaid eagla ar mo chairde agus bhí eagla orm le fírinne freisin. Bhí sé Oíche Shamhna nach ndéanfaidh mé dearmad go deo.

Tá mé san ospidéal anois faraor. Bhí timpiste agam cúpla lá ó shin. Leag carr mé gan rabhadh. Bhris mé mo chos agus ghortaigh mé mo cheann. Tá mé i mbarda deas buíochas le Dia. Tá na hothair eile an-chairdiúil. Is maith liom an bia mar tá sé blásta. Bhí an pian i mo chos uafásach. Thug an banaltra instealladh dom don phian. Tógaim piollaí agus leigheas dhá uair in aghaidh an lae. Beidh orm siúl le maidí croise ar feadh seachtaine. Tá biseach ag teacht orm in aghaidh an lae. Tá atmaisféar deas cairdiúil sa bharda. Scrúdaigh an dochtúir mo chos agus dúirt sé go raibh sé briste. Tá mé ag tnúth le dul abhaile. Beidh mé ag filleadh ar scoil i gceann coicíse.

      SryanBruen

Alexoconnor what are the events in them? Like the scéalta that I have done so far are

      - Timpiste ag ceolchoirm

      - Ticéid a bhuaigh mé faoi cheolchoirm

      - Robáil banc

      - Timpiste ag cluiche

      - Timpiste ar oíche na stoirm móire

(Not counting the ones I wrote specifically for people here)

So my events of my scéalta are

      Timpiste - 3 stories

      Ticéid a bhuaigh mé - 1 story

      Robáil banc - 1 story

    123. avatar image

      SryanBruen

Or is the event actually those? i.e. you just describe a brilliant party you went to, a brilliant game you did?

I remember that Halloween well. My luck was in that day. It was a dark morning. I didn't know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I put my school clothes on. I went to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast. I ate brown bread and pancakes. My brother finally woke up then. Without delay, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I was on my way to school.

I had great fun in school. It was Costume Day. I wore my spooky skeleton costume. My friends and I enjoyed the breaks. The fun was only starting though. I was going to a party after school. I was looking forward to the party.

When school was over, I went home. I was getting ready for the party. I wore my Halloween costume again. I loved the costume because it scared people.

I was at the party soon. All my friends were there. Everybody was enjoying the party. There was a wonderful atmosphere at it. I was exhausted after dancing with my girlfriend. I didn't have to go trick or treating because sweets were already at the party.

I brought my friends out of the house. They were really surprised when they got a fright. My dad scared my friends and I was scared to be honest too. It was a Halloween that I will never forget.

    129. avatar image

      SryanBruen

Nw.danville the scéal is taking some time (for the one you said above your recent post) as it is quite tricky actually.

Here's the Iontas! Tubaiste! (Ag an gcluiche) scéal for you both anyway.

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D'éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Ní raibh scoil agam an lá sin mar bhí mé ag imirt cluiche don scoil. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí spórt orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D'ith mé arán donn agus pancóga. Dhúisigh mo dheartháir i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Bhí sé ag imirt don scoil freisin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus fuair mé ar an mbus go dtí an cluiche.

Nuair a bhí mé ag imirt an cluiche, bhí an aimsir foirfe. Bhí sé an-te mar bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch. Ní raibh scamall sa spéir gheal ghorm. Thug na daoine bualadh bos dúinn. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. Áfach, nuair a cheap mé go raibh gach rud foirfe, bhuail tubaiste orm.

Go tobann, baineadh geit asam. Sheas duine éigin ar mo chos. Bhí mo chos brúite go dona. Bhí mé ag scoilteadh le bpian ansin. Bhí mé in umar na haimléise. Luigh mé i lár na páirce leis an bpian. Thit mé gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill. Bhí ionad an domhain ar gach duine cad a tharla.

Chuir duine éigin fios ar an otharcharr dom. Shroich an otharcharr ina dhiaidh tamaill. Dúradh liom go gcuireadh mé ar shínteáin ina dhiaidh. Bhí mé tugtha go dtí an t-ospidéal. Tógadh mé go dtí an Roinn Timpiste agus Éigeandála.

Rinne an dochtúir scrúdú orm. Tar éis dom bheith gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill, d'oscail mé mo shúile go faiteach agus tháinig fuar allais amach tríom. Bhí na hothair eile an-chairdiúil agus bhí na dochtúirí cairdiúil freisin. Táim fós i bpian ach tá biseach ag teacht orm lá i ndiadh. Tá mé ag tnúth le dul abhaile ar ais go luath. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad go deo ar an lá sin.

P1: I woke up, getting ready for school.

      P2: School and competition

      P3: Getting ready for show

      P4: The show

Bhí ionadh an domhain orm ar na rudaí a tharla níos déanaí - I was surprised of what happened later

Bhí neart duaiseanna le buaite - There were plenty of prizes to be won

Bhuaigh mé an chéad duais - I won the first prize

Bhuaigh mé dhá ticéid faoi seó coiméide an Eddie Murphy - I won two tickets to an Eddie Murphy comedy show

Bhí an seó ar siúl an oíche a leanas - The show was taking place the following night

Thug mo mháthair roinnt airgid dom mar bhí fhios aici gur theastaigh uaim cuimhneacháin a cheannach - She gave me some money because she knew that I wanted to buy souvenirs

Bhí sé an-greannmhar go raibh mé as anáil - He was so funny that I could barely breathe

Cheap gach duine sa barra go raibh sé fíorghreannmhar - Everybody in the bar thought that he was hilarious

Ba é an oíche a barr riamh - It was the best night ever

Ní raibh mé ag iarraidh a deireadh é - I didn't want it to end

      I hope these help.

Could you send a sample answer for subh milis please? Is it true that this poem is too simple for HL? If so could you just send the sample anster for glan an togadh me?? Thanks in advance, Orlaith.

    164. avatar image

      SryanBruen

It is a very easy poem to learn but in my opinion, it's still good enough to learn for HL. There is no harm in learning that and An Gleann inár Tógadh Mé - which is also a very easy poem to learn. But my teacher told us to learn off An Gleann inár Tógadh Mé and that it will always get me full marks. Here's a long enough sample answer for Subh Milis anyways for the theme of "anger".

Rinne mé staidéar ar an dán “Subh Milis” le Séamus Ó'Néill i rith mo chúrsa. Is é téama an dán seo ná fearg.

Feictear beagán den fhearg sa dán seo ag tús an dáin nuair a chonaic an file subh milis ar bhaschrann an doras.

"Bhí subh milis ar bhaschrann an doras"

Gan dabht bhí an file ar buile, dúirt sé féin gur éirigh corraí ann.

      "Ach mhúch mé an corraí"

Bhí sé feargach mar bhí air an doras a ghlanadh. Ach roimh dheireadh an dán d'imigh an corraí mar thosaigh an file ag smaoineamh faoin todhchaí nuair a bheadh lámha a mhic glan.

      Beidh "an baschrann glas"

Beidh an páiste fásta aníos agus imithe as an teach.

Beidh an "lámh bheag ar iarraidh"

Cinnte tá beagán den fhearg sa dán seo.

      SryanBruen

      (i) Rinne mé staidéar ar an dán “An Gleann Inar Tógadh Mé” le Dubhghlas de hÍde i rith mo chúrsa. Is é ábhar an dáin seo ná Grá.

(ii) Rugadh an file sa Gleann. Bhí sé an-sásta sa Ghleann nuair a bhí sé óg. Bhain sé taitneamh as na rudaí a rinne sé ansin,

"Shiúil sé ó áit go háit".

Bhí grá aige don dúlra. Luaigh sé an giorria agus an fia agus sruthán sléibhe. Thaitin an t-uisce fuar úr go mór leis,

"San uisce fíor ba mhór mo dhúil".

Bhí sé sásta sa Ghleann. Bhí grá aige don Ghleann. Ní raibh eagla air roimh aon rud sa Ghleann. Léim a bhád ar bharr na habhann. Cheap sé go raibh sé ábalta breith ar an ngaoth. Cheap sé go raibh dath an óir ar gach rud ina áit dhúchais sa Ghleann,

      "sa ghleann inar tógadh mé".

Cheap sé go raibh sé ábalta aon rud a dhéanamh.

^ Here's An Gleann inár Tógadh Mé's sample answer.

Is there any way of predicting the prós and filiocht titles for the teamaí and mothucháin? Also, can you do a list of the ones that are hard to remember and their translations? (E.g. náire, uaigneas) Sometimes I know my learnt summaries but I have no idea what the mothucháin or teamaí that come up mean.

Aoife not much but there are some common ones that have come up and if the common ones did not come up last year then they're likely to come up this year. I can do this on skype with you if you like.

Plus for vocabulary of themes, you can check out my thread "Random vocabulary".

HNJJS, it's not about how many poems you have studied. It's about how many themes your studied poem can fit into. Like I have one studied and it can fit into at least one theme on every past paper.

Here you go Aimee and Cathal (the Fire scéal)

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Maidin dorcha i lár an earraigh a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D’éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Chuir mé m’éadaí orm. Bhí mé ag réiteach le dul ag siopadóireacht le mo chara. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D’ith mé arán donn agus calóga arbhair. Dhúisigh mo dhéarthair i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Bhrostaigh mé amach an doras. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus fuair mé ar an mbus go dtí an t-ionad siopadóireachta.

Nuair a shroich mé san ionad siopadóireachta, bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch. Ní raibh scamall sa spéir gheal ghorm. Bhí mé ag bárcadh allais. Bhuail mé le mo chara ansin. Chuamar isteach sa Lifestyle Sports. Bheartaíomar ag cur roinnt éadaí agus bróga reatha éagsúla orainn. Bheartaigh mé bróga reatha nua a cheannach ina dhiaidh tamaill. Thaitin mo bhróga reatha nua liom. Chuamar taobh amuigh ansin mar bhí mé ábalta boladh dó a fháil.

Ní chreidfimis ár súile nuair a chuamar as an ionad siopadóireachta. Bhí an fhoirgneamh ar dhóiteán. Bhain sé an anáil díom. Bhí teannas os cionn an mheáin. Chuir mé fios ar an briogáid dóiteáin ansin. Bhí an áit dubh le daoine. Bhí an t-ádh ceart liom gur éalaíomar an fhoirgneamh.

Shroich an briogáid dóiteáin ina dhiaidh tamaill agus bhí an fhoirgneamh go beagnach hiomlán damáiste. Chuir na fir dhóiteáin an tine as ansin. Lig mé osna faoiseamh asam. Tá cuimhní an lae sin greanta i m’intinn.

Seo mar a tharla, creid é nó ná creid é!

      English translation

I remember that day well. It was a dark morning in the middle of Spring. I didn’t know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I put my clothes on. I was getting ready to go shopping with my friend. I went to the kitchen to make my breakfast. I ate brown bread and cornflakes. My brother finally woke up then. Without delay, I went to the bathroom and I brushed my teeth. I hurried out the door. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I got on the bus to the shopping centre.

When I arrived at the shopping centre, the sun was splitting the stones. There was not a single cloud in the sky. I was sweating heavily. I met up with my friend then. We went into Lifestyle Sports. We started trying on new clothes and runners. I decided to buy new runners after a while. I liked my new runners. We went outside then because I could smell something burning.

We didn’t believe our eyes when we went outside. The building was on fire. It took my breath away. Tension was high. I called the fire brigade then. There was a lot of people there. I was really lucky that we escaped the building.

The fire brigade arrived after a while and the building was nearly completely damaged. The firemen put out the fire then. I was so relieved. The memories of that day are engraved on my mind.

This is what happened, believe it or not!

Saoire thar lear robáil banc (Bank robbery holidays abroad)

Maidin gheal agus te a bhí ann. D'éirigh mé as an leaba. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. Bhí mé féin agus mo chlann ar laethanta saoire sa Spáinn. Bhíomar ag fanacht in óstán mhór. Bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch, lá álainn a bhí ann. Chuaigh mé go dtí an trá. Bhí mé ag tógáil caisleáin gainnimh le mo bhuicéid agus spáid. Bhí mé ar bharr an domhain le háthas. Bhí mé ag snamh le mo dheartháir sa bhfarraige. Bhí an áit dubh le daoine. D'imir mé agus mo dheartháir eitpheil. Bhí an-craic againn agus bhí bia againn ina dhiaidh sin. Is maith an scéalaí an aimsir cad a tharlóidh áfach.

D'éist mé go géar agus chuala mé gunnaí a scaoileadh. Baineadh geit asam. Bhí mé ag crith le heagla mar thosaigh mé ag bogadh níos cóngaraí i dtreo na gunnaí. Chonaic mé na robálaithe ag robáil airgead ón mbanc. Bhí mé go fírinneach gan focal. Bhí a lán daoine taobh amuigh den bhainc. Rud eile a rinne na robálaithe ná gur bhagair siad na daoine taobh amuigh den bhanc. Ní raibh gíog ná míog as éinne. Áfach, ghlaoigh bean ar na Gardaí. Bhí imníoch orm chuici. Thosaigh mé ag fágáil. Thaistil mé ar mo rothar. Chonaic na robálaithe mé ag fágaáil. Lean siad mé timpeall na háite. Lig mé scread asam. Ba bheag nár thit m'anam leis an eagla.

Bhí mé chomh thúirseach ó rothaíocht gur rug na robálaithe orm. Bhí an t-ádh liom áfach mar tháinig na Gardaí. Chuir siad na robálaithe i gcarr na Gardaí agus d'imigh siad go chúirte. Lig mé agus mo chlann osna faoiseamh asainn.

Tugadh na robálaithe go cúirte. Ní raibh an breitheamh sásta agus ní raibh an coiste cúirte sásta. Bhí an banc folamh ansin. Ní raibh aon airgid sa bhanc. Bhí brón ar gach duine don bhanc. Shocraíomar ar fad airgead a tabhairt don bhanc. Tugadh na robálaithe go priosúin. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. Bhí an baile sábháilte arís. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad ar an robáil sin riamh.

Oíche na Seó Mhóire - The night of the big show (Eachtra greannmhar)

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D'éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí scoile orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D'ith mé arán donn agus pancóga. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus bhí mé ar mo bhealach chun na scoile.

Shroich mé ar scoil. Bhí an-craic agam le mo chairde. Bhí na múinteoirí an-dian áfach agus bhí mé beagnach i dtriobláid. Bhí ionadh an domhain orm ar na rudaí a tharla níos déanaí. Bhí comórtas ar siúl sa halla scoile. Bhí neart duaiseanna le buaite. Bhí mo chroí i mo bhéal. Bhí mé ar bharr an domhain le háthas mar bhuaigh mé an chéad duais. Bhuaigh mé dhá ticéid do seó coiméide le Eddie Murphy. Is fearr liom Eddie Murphy agus tá grá agam dó. Bhí an seó ar siúl an lá dár gcionn.

Chuaigh mé abhaile i ndiaidh na scoile. Bhí mo chroí ag preabadh i mo chliabh mar bhí an-áthas orm. Thug mo mháthair roinnt airgid dom mar bhí fhios aici gur theastaigh uaim cuimhneacháin a cheannach. Bhí mé go fírinneach gan focal. Bhí mé ar mo bhealach go dtí an seó ansin. Thug m'athair síob dom.

Nuair a shroich mé ar seó, bhí go leor daoine taobh amuigh an Temple Bar. Áfach, tháinig mé in am chun Eddie Murphy a fheiceáil. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. D'éist mé go géar nuair a bhí sé ag magadh. Bhí sé an-ghreannmhar go raibh mé as anáil. Cheap gach duine sa barra go raibh sé fíorghreannmhar. Ba é an oíche a barr riamh. Ní raibh mé ag iarraidh a deireadh é. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad an oíche sin.

hi, for answers the prós question our teacher says we have to point out each part where the feeling or theme can be seen.. iv heard from other people that you an just write out the summary and say that it is seen in the story.. which way is better?

    220. avatar image

      ug_roland2504

either way works. i give a very brief summary then pinpoint where in the story the feeling/theme is seen

    221. avatar image

      Aoife_9776

Just throw in a sentence with your feeling/theme in. You can still write your same summary. E.g. Chun a buíochas a taispáint di. Chun a buíochas agus grá a taispaint di. It just shows that you were reading the question and not putting down a learned off summary.

    222. avatar image

      SryanBruen

abouhajar yeah I am thinking something similar to the 2011 one - though not the exact same just like how 2010 and 2015 were similar to each other but weren't the exact same.

Go tobann, baineadh geit asam. Sheas duine éigin ar mo chos. Bhí mo chos brúite go dona. Bhí mé ag scoilteadh le bpian ansin. Bhí mé in umar na haimléise. Luigh mé i lár na páirce leis an bpian. Thit mé gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill. Bhí ionad an domhain ar gach duine cad a tharla.

Chuir duine éigin fios ar an otharcharr dom. Shroich an otharcharr ina dhiaidh tamaill. Dúradh liom go gcuireadh mé ar shínteáin ina dhiaidh. Bhí mé tugtha go dtí an t-ospidéal. Tógadh mé go dtí an Roinn Timpiste agus Éigeandála.

Rinne an dochtúir scrúdú orm. Tar éis dom bheith gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill, d'oscail mé mo shúile go faiteach agus tháinig fuar allais amach tríom. Bhí na hothair eile an-chairdiúil agus bhí na dochtúirí cairdiúil freisin. Táim fós i bpian ach tá biseach ag teacht orm lá i ndiadh. Tá mé ag tnúth le dul abhaile ar ais go luath. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad go deo ar an lá sin.

      3 Bóthar Buí

      Baile Dúill

      Baile Átha Cliath

      7 Meitheamh 2016

      A Eoin,

Tá súil agam go bhfuil tú i mbarr na sláinte. Is fada an lá ó chuala mé uait. Go raibh maith agat as ucht do litir. Bhí sé ar intinn agam scríobh chugat. Ní raibh am agam scríobh go dtí seo. Bhí mé an-ghnóthach. Fan go gcloise tú mo scéal.

Chuaigh mé go dioscó le déanaí. Ba é an oíche a barr riamh. Thaitin a lán rudaí liom ag an dioscó. Thaitin an ceol liom go imríodh agus bhí mé ag damhsa le mo bhuachaill. Thug mé féin agus mo bhuachaill póg ar a chéile. Áfach, níor thaitin cúpla rudaí liom ag an dioscó. Bhí daoine áirithe ar meisce. Bhí siad an-bhearránach. Ar mhaith leat dul ag siopadóireacht liom go luath?

Bhuel níl aon nuacht eile agam. Scríobh litir chugam go luath. Ná déan dearmad. Ná déan moill. Beidh mé ag tnúth le litir uait roimh i bhfad. Feicfidh mé tú roimh i bhfad. Tabhair aire duit féin. Slán go fóill.

      Is mise, do chara

      Mollie

Oíche na Seó Mhóire English translation

'The Night of the Big Show'

I remember that day well. It was a dark morning. I didn't know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I put my school clothes on. I went to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast. I ate brown bread and pancakes. Without delay, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I was on my way to school.

I arrived at school. I had great crack with my friends. The teachers were very strict however and I was nearly in trouble. I was very surprised of the things that happened later. A competition was taking place in the school hall. There were a lot of prizes to be won. My heart was in my mouth. I was on top of the world with joy because I won the first prize. I won two tickets for Eddie Murphy's comedy show. Eddie Murphy is my favourite and I love him. The show was taking place the following night.

I went home after school. My heart was beating in my chest because I was so happy. My mother gave me some money because she know that I wanted to buy souvenirs. I was literally speechless. I was on my way to the show then. My father gave me a lift.

When I arrived at the show, there was a lot of people outside Temple Bar. However, I came in on time to see Eddie Murphy. I let out a sigh of happiness. I listened carefully when he was joking. He was so funny that I could barely breathe. Everybody in the bar thought that he was hilarious. It was the best night ever. I didn't want it to end. I will never forget that night.

      Iontas! Tubaiste! English translation

      'Surprise! Disaster!'

I remember that day well. It was a dark morning. I didn't know what time it was exactly when I woke up. I got up out of bed. I was frozen with the cold. I didn't have school that day because I was playing for the school. I put on my sports gear. I went to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast. I ate brown bread and pancakes. My brother finally woke up then. He was playing for the school also. Without delay, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I started listening to my iPod and I got on the bus to the match.

When I was playing the match, the weather was perfect. It was very hot and the sun was splitting the stones. There wasn't a cloud in the bright blue sky. People clapped for us. I let out a sight of happiness. However, when I thought that everything was perfect, disaster hit me.

Suddenly, I got a fright. Somebody stood on my foot. My foot was bruised badly. I was splitting with pain then. I was in the depths of despair. I laid in the middle of the pitch with the pain. I fell unconscious for a while. Everybody was really surprised of what happened.

Somebody called the ambulance for me. The ambulance arrived after a while. I was told that I was put on a stretcher after. I was brought to the hospital. I was taken to the A&E Unit.

The doctor examined me. After being unconscious for a while, I opened my eyes nervously and I broke out with a cold sweat. The other patients were very friendly and so were the doctors. I am still in pain but I am getting better day by day. I am looking forward to be going home soon. I will never forget that day.

    257. avatar image

      iNardo

you only posted a letter not an essay?

    258. avatar image

      SryanBruen

No I did iNardo. See here's the story for you copied and pasted (again for the second time....) (Thanks Sryan....):

Cuimhním go maith ar an lá sin. Maidin dorcha a bhí ann. Ní fios go baileach cén t-am a dhúisigh mé. D'éirigh mé as an leaba. Bhí mé préachta leis an bhfuacht. Ní raibh scoil agam an lá sin mar bhí mé ag imirt cluiche don scoil. Chuir mé mo chuid éadaí spórt orm. Chuaigh mé go dtí an chistin chun mo bhricfeasta a ullmhú. D'ith mé arán donn agus pancóga. Dhúisigh mo dheartháir i ndeireadh na dála ansin. Bhí sé ag imirt don scoil freisin. Gan moille, rith mé go dtí an seomra folctha agus scuab mé mo fhiacla. Tar éis sin, thosaigh mé ag éisteacht le mo iPod agus fuair mé ar an mbus go dtí an cluiche.

Nuair a bhí mé ag imirt an cluiche, bhí an aimsir foirfe. Bhí sé an-te mar bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch. Ní raibh scamall sa spéir gheal ghorm. Thug na daoine bualadh bos dúinn. Lig mé osna sástachta asam. Áfach, nuair a cheap mé go raibh gach rud foirfe, bhuail tubaiste orm.

Go tobann, baineadh geit asam. Sheas duine éigin ar mo chos. Bhí mo chos brúite go dona. Bhí mé ag scoilteadh le bpian ansin. Bhí mé in umar na haimléise. Luigh mé i lár na páirce leis an bpian. Thit mé gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill. Bhí ionad an domhain ar gach duine cad a tharla.

Chuir duine éigin fios ar an otharcharr dom. Shroich an otharcharr ina dhiaidh tamaill. Dúradh liom go gcuireadh mé ar shínteáin ina dhiaidh. Bhí mé tugtha go dtí an t-ospidéal. Tógadh mé go dtí an Roinn Timpiste agus Éigeandála.

Rinne an dochtúir scrúdú orm. Tar éis dom bheith gan aithne gan urlabhra ar feadh tamaill, d'oscail mé mo shúile go faiteach agus tháinig fuar allais amach tríom. Bhí na hothair eile an-chairdiúil agus bhí na dochtúirí cairdiúil freisin. Táim fós i bpian ach tá biseach ag teacht orm lá i ndiadh. Tá mé ag tnúth le dul abhaile ar ais go luath. Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad go deo ar an lá sin.

Here's a random story I wrote can you translate it lol please make it fast thanks so much.

I will never forget the night this Halloween. My friends and I were watching a movie when all off a sudden the doorbell rang. We opened it but no one was there. We ignored it and continued watching the movie. We nearly fell asleep but load fireworks woke us. We went outside to look and seen fireworks shooting up and exploding. The loud noise scared us.

We went back inside and ate pizza. Then there was a knock on the kitchen window but when we looked up we didn't see anyone so one of my friends went outside to the backyard to see who it was. The rest of us stayed inside waiting but after a while she still didn't come back so we all went out to the backyard looking for her. We heard something behind a wall, so we walked over and two of our friends jumped out with scary masks on. We screamed and shouted at them for scaring us like that but after we all laughed about it.
