    Grammar joost.peeters.52

Does anyone know how to count years from 20 onwards. I know some years from 1-20 are a bit irregular but is there any rule for ones above 20

We were taught the rule 'H A M'

H- means you put a h in bliain so it will become bhliain. This rule applies from 1-3 years. this includes 11-13, 21-23, etc.

A- means you put an a at the end of blian so it will become bliana. This rule applies from 4-6, 14-16, 24-26, etc.

M-means you put an m at the beginning of bliana so it will become mbliana. This rule applies from 7-10, 17-20, 27-30, etc.

      I hope this helps
