mocks are looming and i have no proper revision timetable. i need to find one that suits me and my routine anyone have ideas to help me find my study mode
Do you have a Music revision book? If not, I'd recommend Less Stress More Success: JC Music. It gives all the things you need to know in much shorter notes than your textbook.
This is what I would say you do - sample timetable for EVERY WEEK even over holidays (yes I know that seems unfair and stupid but in the long run it is worth it!)
Monday - practice instrument for practical, learn set songs
Tuesday - practice instrument for practical, learn set works
Wednesday - practice instrument for practical, learn how to form triads, note values and letter names
Thursday - practice instrument for practical, learn Irish music performers / composers
Friday - practice instrument for practical, learn choice songs & works
Saturday - learn chord progressions, research old songs with good melodies (and maybe you could use one for Q7)
Sunday - learn general study
It may seem like a lot but don't spend a long time of the day on Music. I would spend something like 15 mins on practicing the instrument and another 10-20 mins on other stuff that I mentioned above. Then, study your other subjects! I know it's very stressful, tell me about it!
That's a great plan!
Thank you ACF1 and it's no problem whatsoever. More advice I would give:
Learn ONE set song and ONE set work each week on the said day in your plan, do not learn all 7 or all 3 at once.
Learn ONE choice song and ONE choice work each week on the said day in your plan, do not learn all 8 or all 4(I think it is) at once.
Learning everything at once creates stress, so take it step by step!
