i know that litmus is red and blue paper to say if a substance is acidic or basic. what is universal indicator paper? thanks :)
Its a yellow strip of paper that turns different shades of red to shoe how acidic it is and different types of blue to show how basic it is. It'll turn green if its neutral
It's an indicator that will express the number on the pH scale (0-14) as it will match one of the colopurs on the scale. Litmus only indicates if an substance is acidic or basic, universal indicator will give the additional information of pH number (& so tell you if it is strong or weak or neutral).
