    Volume of a cone dee.murnane

There are two cones of equal height with a radius of ratio 1:2. Calculate the volume of the cones?

    Answer is 1:4 but why?

Formula for (v) volume of a cone is 1/3(pi)r^2h

The radius of cone one is 1r and the radius of cone two is 2r.

So sub in r and 2r on each side of the equals. Once that's done its just algebra, get rid of what's common.

I attached a file doing the math on paint.
