i'm currently a junior cert student, and i've decided to take spanish for my leaving cert, only i've never learned spanish in my life. what's the best book to start using? and is anyone else in my position?
after jc i spent summer learning the spanish course, if you have the discipline and interest then youll find it easy pz dont listen to the others. i used primer paso 2, wordreference and did lots of the jc papers. its all about the work you put in really, languages for lc are great if you have an inclination towards them. spanish is actually a lot easier than french fyi, the course is more fun coz its newer and theres less grammar for learning
try and go on a language course for a few weeks or so. it will help you so much. if you know anyone who lives in a spanish speaking country try and go stay with them for a few weeks. if you can't go to that country the euro languages college is like a gaeltacht for french/german/spanish and suppsed to be really good. you can also use apps like hellotalk to text with native speakers.
I'm in the same position as me, i wanna learn french for my lc but never learned it b4, i asked the french teacher in my school, she said if you're doing ty you can try use that year to catch up, but aiming for hl is way too difficult, ol will be fine
