I'm not sure. My class is doing Heaney but I'm not really studying him (im not into his poems). I'm looking at poets that haven't even been on the course before like Kenelly and Lawrence. And definitely at least one female poet (I'm doing Bishop by myself, along with Plath in class).
But whatever happens, knowing at least five poems well will be just fine
Normally there is always an irish poet and a woman poet but that's just based on the past papers. Some people are saying Plath is due to come up as she hasn't come up in a while and Kennelly is only new to the course so he could show up too. also look at which poets came up last year, it is very rare they would repeat poets so you can learn them but just not in as much detail as the others. Hope this helps. :relaxed:
I'm thinking Yeats big time.
Plath is almost certaintly coming up, I've heard two grind school courses predict it.
I'm not going to study Plath though because everyone's going to write about her and I think you'll be rewarded for variation.
