LCHL Maths - Tips

hey lads going into 5th year in two weeks and it’s safe to say my JC Maths was abysmal to put it frankly - what topics should i sharpen up on before school from JC to ensure i dont fall behind? Already planning on sorting my algebra out, any advice is appreciated

do revision questions from your books, when you go into fifth year, you will firstly revise junior cert content before starting the new stuff

just do all the basics, make sure you have a good knowledge of how and why rules happen. Especially Algebra. But the best advice for 5th year is to do maths EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. only do 4 short questions but by christmas you will more than 200 calculations done which will slowly build your level up.

Know all the proofs and constructions from jc. It would be stood to know them instead of trying to relearn them all in a week.
