Empirical Formula
Indicates what elements are present in the compound in the simplest whole number ratio in which the atoms of these elements are present.
Molecular Formula
The actual number of atoms of each element present in a molecule of a compound.
Structural Formula
Shows the arrangement of the atoms within a molecule of a compound.
Relative Molecular Mass (Mr)
The average mass of a molecule of that substance compared with one twelfth of the mass of the carbon-12 isotope.
Percentage Yield
Actual yield x 100/Theoretical yield %
