24/25 Academic Year Key Dates | Parent Centre
Here are all the key dates for your diary for the 24/25 academic year. Please note that some dates vary per year and per school so if you are in doubt, it is best to check with your school directly.
End of August/Beginning of September - Schools reopen.
23rd August - Leaving Certificate results.
25th - 27th September - Higher Options in the RDS (make sure to visit the Studyclix stand!)
9th October - Junior Cycle results.
28th October - 1st November inclusive - October mid-term break.
20th December - Final day of term & start of Christmas holidays.
23rd December - 3rd January inclusive - Christmas school holidays.
6th January - Schools reopen.
8th - 11th January - BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in the RDS (make sure to visit the Studyclix stand!)
1st February - CAO closing date.
17th - 21st February inclusive - February mid-term break.
11th April - Last day of school before the Easter break.
14th - 25th April inclusive - Easter break.
28th April - Schools reopen.
After the Easter break - Practical and Oral exams usually take place.
End of May/Beginning of June - schools close for Summer holidays.
4th June - State examinations start.
